Biodegradable food containers:
The PLA compostable food containers are made from NatureWorks polylactic acid (PLA), which is derived from corn grown in the USA. These PLA containers are fully biodegradable and compostable and meet the most stringent scientific requirements for biodegradability and compostability and meet the ASTM D6400-99 requirements for "compostable plastics". They are indistinguishable from normal plastic (equally light and strong!) but they fully degrade into water, carbon dioxide and organic materials when composted. They are for foods under 110 degrees F only.Bagasse barrel bowls are made out residual sugarcane fiber, leftover from juice extraction for sugar production. They can withstand temperatures of up to 220 degrees F.

These PLA clear, round deli containers are perfect for fruit, salads and warm/cold soups. Sizes: 12 oz, 16 oz and 24oz. Lids are available for these containers. (Lids are sold separately.)

Bagasse Barrel Bowls
Bagasse barrel bowls are perfect for hot soups, as they can withstand temperatures of up to 200 degrees F. Sizes include: 8.5oz, 12 oz, 14.4 oz, 17 oz and 30 oz. Lids are available for the 12oz, 14.4 oz, 17 oz and 30 oz barrel bowls only. (Lids are sold separately.) We currently do not offer lids for the 8.5oz barrel bowl. Currently, most barrel bowls are bleached.
