Description
World Centric biodegradable and compostable deli containers are made from NatureWorks polylactic acid (PLA), which is derived from corn grown in the USA. Our biodegradable deli containers meet the most stringent scientific requirements for biodegradability and compostability, and are ASTM D6400-99 certified for "compostable plastics". Even though they are as light and strong as plastic, they fully biodegrade when composted.

To distinguish our containers from plastic ones in municiple recycling/composting facilities, the phrases "Bicompostable" and "This cup is made from corn and is 100% compostable" are printed on the side. Some of the older stock has both sides printed without the logo.

Instead of using petroleum based plastics which create toxicity and environmental pollution, you can now use our compostable alternatives.

Please note, composting is required for biodegradation. These compostable containers will biodegrade within 180 days in a commercial composting facility, but can take up to a year or more to biodegrade in a home composting system. Our biodegradable containers are only meant to be used for food and storage at temperatures less than 110 degrees F.
