Compostable Toothbrush & Compostable Travel Case

Our BPI certified compostable toothbrush and compostable travel case are made from Ingeo™ (derived from plants), instead of petroleum based plastics. Bristles are not compostable. You can break off the head to compost the handle and travel case within 6 months in a commercial composting facility. You can also send us your old toothbrush and travel case for composting.

According to research reports, approximately 450 million tootbrushes are landfilled every year in the Unites States. Using a compostable toothbrush shows that you care about the environment and about properly disposing of waste. With small steps like these, we can all make a big impact.

Are the toothbrush and travel case really compostable?
Apart from the bristle head and the bristles, the toothbrush and travel case are fully compostable and certified by BPI. There is a notch between the head and the handle to facilitate breaking off the head, before composting the handle and travel case.

What is the toothbrush made from?
The toothbrush and travel case are made from Ingeo™, derived from plants. The bristles are currently made from nylon and we are looking at replacing them with compostable bristles.

How should I dispose of my toothbrush?
The best way is to compost the toothbrush and travel case in a commercial composting facility. If you don't have commercial compost pick up in your area or direct access to a commercial composting facility, you can send us your toothbrush and travel case for composting.

What happens if it goes into landfill?
Landfills are created to avoid degradation and the toothbrush and travel case will not breakdown or degrade in a landfill.
