Sustainability is the idea that civilization as a whole can act in a way that supports not only social equality but also protects the earth’s ecosystems and natural resources for generations to come. At World Centric we try our best to do our part - in the products we sell, how we run our business, what we do with our profits and the values we hold. Values
World Centric started out as an organization wanting to shed some light on large scale environmental and humanitarian issues. We showed movies, hosted speakers and tried to get the word out about these important topics. While we’ve expanded in to selling compostable products, our values haven’t changed. We’re still advocates for environmental sustainability and social justice, and it’s those things that drive us everyday.
We still host films and speakers on social and environmental issues, give 25% of our profits to grassroots social/environmental organizations, offset all our carbon and make products from plants and agriculture waste to replace plastic and styrofoam products. We are not driven by profits, but by what can we do to make a difference for the better in the world.
